Title 1

What is Title I?

Title I is a 100% Federally funded supplemental education program that provides financial assistance to local educational agencies to improve educational opportunities for educationally deprived children.

What is the purpose of Title I?

Title I programs are designed to help children meet the state content and performance standards in reading, language arts, and mathematics.

In buildings with 40% or more poverty, the School may use the funds to upgrade the entire curriculum of the school and are School-wide Programs. In buildings with less than 40% poverty, programs are designed to help specific children and are targeted assisted programs.

The School is subject to consequences of school choice and supplemental education services if they do not meet adequate yearly progress.

The School Designation for 2016-2017 = Focus
The School Designation for 2017-2018 = Focus
The School Designation for 2018-2019 = Comprehensive Support & Improvement (CSI)

The Cyber School is designated a CSI school through the 2020-2021 school year. Indicators used to determine this designation were percent proficient, academic growth, graduation rate, English learner proficiency, career standards, and regular attendance. Schools are identified every three years.
